Default Pad options for an 02 EX 1.7L

Hey everybody.

I've come into possession of a 2002 Civic EX and it's been pretty good so far. There are a few things I need to address, but I'll put the others in a different thread.

Right now, the only thing I can afford is some better brake pads.

I was just going to snag some Axxis/PBR metal master/XBG pads, but I can't find any for this car.

Two things I really care about in a pad:
Not grabby when cold/cool like first thing in the morning or coming off a long ride on the freeway. I'd rather have them a little weak when cold than too grabby.
Linear feel with minimal fade. A linear pad grabs harder the harder you press the pedal. A progressive pad grabs harder with the same pedal pressure as they get hotter during a single braking instance.

A bonus thing I'd like is for the pads to be rated FF or GG uuunless that means grabby. Also, semi-metal pads are usually cheap cheap cheap and don't warp rotors the way organic and ceramics tend to because they're abrasive.

I know "everybody" looooves ceramics, but I've hated the brakes on cars I've driven that had ceramic pads. I tend to go with Semi-Metals because they're linear and don't fade.

I've got my eye on a couple pads but I haven't run any of them before. Who's run what? How'd they work?

Cheers!

I also hate ceramics.

The pad that fits quite a bit of your description is the stoptech sport.

Hawk HPS (not HP+) makes a good street pad too.
But...you might prefer the more linear feel of the stoptech. Bed them in, though. Or they won't work.
