2004 Honda Civic wont go into 1st gear
Sometimes( its happened to me twice within a week) when I am at a stop on a redlight I have trouble shifting into first gear, I can shift into all the other gears just fine. What could be causing this issue? The car is a Honda Civic 2004 Ex Couple manual transmission. I recently changed the factory radio to an aftermarket stereo and I sort of messed with the shifter since I had to remove the console, could this be something thats causing this issue? Because it only started happening after I did the radio swap.
explain 'messed with the shifter' please.
cuz to some people, that may mean "I unscrewed the **** and gently lifted off the center console" and to others it may mean "I used the shifter as a ladder so I could stick my head out the sunroof and adjust the radio antenna".
there are any number of reasons it won't go into gear, so before we get into the nasty ones, let's get the story right.
