Default Help with EG-Kswap(electrical). ktuned conv harnees.

94 eg8/k-pro/k20a2

I'm stuck on finding/hooking up 2 wires and ID-ing a mystery plug?. The fuel pump relay, a wire comes off my conversion harness and is supposed to go to the "fuel pump relay wiring"(their words). And the ELD, I can't remember if the eg has an ELD, ktuned says "skip it if your vehicle does not have one", if it does it's in the fuse box IIRC, how will I be able to hook up to it?.

ELD is located in the engine bay fusebox. Main relay is near the dash fusebox.

Forgot it was called the main relay, vs fuel pump relay. I'll find the pinout for it, but it doesn't say weather to tap into it or cut and splice. As for the ELD, is it tap or cut and splice. I can find the pinput but weather or not they're tap in or splice is what I need to know.

You need to connect them, splice them, into the ecu harness. So the ELD connects to D10 of the ecu plug and the Fuel Pump connects to both A7/A8.

Ok, I got confused and thought I had to somehow tap into the main relay and bust open the fuse box and find the eld. I'm guessing you just connect a7/a8 then connect them to the conversion harness, hoping someone who has used this and done it can confirm.. I'd still like to know what that mystery plug is.

Thank you for your help Tony.

The ELD wire should already be routed from the underhood fuse box to the OBD1 ECU location. You shouldn't have to mess around in the fuse box at all.

Your second picture is the socket for an OBDII scanner. Bolt it up somewhere under the dash so you can plug in a scanner.

D10 on the ECU harness/plug for the ELD. i'll have to see if my plug fits over it, iirc the bracket blocks a plug from sliding over. Strange they'd incorporate that into an obd1 car, granted this harness if for the DC also, which went into the obd2 years so might be null foe me. I've got k-pro thankfully.

Thanks man.

Canadian Civics don't have an ELD.

Small clarification here: Canadian MARKET Civics do not have an ELD. USA Market Civics built in Canada DO.

Correct. OP is in Toronto, so chances are he's got a Canadian market Civic.
