how do I check engine rpm on Honda accord 1997 lx and what tool use and where it hook up maybe picture shown me

I thought all the CD Accords had an in dash tachometer. Oh well guess not.

There is a test connector in the engine bay that is meant for hooking up a remote tach for reading the engine RPM from the distributor. The test connector should be mounted to the passenger side shock tower. It's a blue wire/connector.

 

Mine has something that claims to be a tachometer but it sure doesn't measure the rpm's correctly !
