Default Upgrading 99 ex suspension guidance

Looking to get some work done on my 99 ex ( yes still stock ) suspension. Along with shocks and springs, what other parts would be good to replace while I'm working on it. Just gonna be a lowered daily driver. But after almost 20 years I'm wondering what else would be good to replace in the steering and suspension area. I would appreciate a little guidance! Thanks!

Replace what is worn. Don't replace what's not worn.

I would NOT buy tie rods/ball joints from an aftermarket supplier. If those need replacing, look for either a genuine part from a dealer, or find an actual OEM part on rockauto.

OE is not the same as OEM. You don't want an OE replacement. Examples of **** you don't want:
-moog
-mevotech
-moog
-don't buy moog.

OEM joints are made by Sankei, IIRC.

If you need bushings, buy them from Honda or hardrace. Or buy complete arms from Honda.

Always clock rubber bushings when installing the arm or any aftermarket components or if you're changing ride heights...or you'll tear out the bushings and your life will become much harder.

Another helpful tip would be to NOT lower the car more than 1.25" unless you're buying shortened or revalved shocks or short body coilovers.

Thank you! Appreciate the help. Was planning on ordering shocks and springs from Koni. I was looking for a drop between 1.5 and 1.8 inches. I'm going to inspect the suspension this weekend to see what I need to replace and check what is worn.

1.5" - 2" is a bigass drop for stock length shocks with lowering springs. Y'all are insane.

I wouldn't go beyond Eibach Prokit springs.

Good call on the Koni shocks, though.

Espencivic..where did you purchase the Koni Screets and springs for $280 from?
I purchased a set of those with a set of H&R springs for my '07 Mazda 3 for $480 three years ago.

How do you like them?
On my Mazda the Koni Screets (ST.r's) made a big difference in ride, ride height and handling over the stock KYB's.
I have KYB GR-2's with lowering springs (came with car) on my '95 EX coupe and they are pretty decent but, considering a change in the future.
