Tineys EG build [WA]
Hey guys.. My name is Kristine aka Tiney. Doing another build so I thought Id share with the world/have records of my progress for myself.. Ive had my previous Ek hatch build and rhd ek 4 door build as well. Ive owned a handful of egs and always loved them and I've wanted a captiva blue eg si for a very long time to a point where I left numerous notes on captivas that I saw on the street/parking lot which by the way Ive never got a call back haha. Almost seemed like people asked for an arm and a leg for a captiva on craigslist so i just held off and eventually a fair priced one ended up in my hands which was from the original owner. I was definitely sprung even despite the horrible paint fade on it and misc imperfections! After about a year of owning it, I decided I wanted to paint it and got numerous quotes from buddies and from people that I was referred to. Im a penny pincher so I held off on the paint job because I didn't see it as a need at the time. So about 1.5-2 years later I finally pulled the plug. I got another quote from someone that I originally got a quote from the first time around, got to meet him personally and see his work as well. My fiancé and I did an 8 hour straight strip down from a completely running and stock car to the barest of the bare shell. As of Feb 20, 2017 it has been in the painters hands. Im based in WA and my goal is to get it ready for wekfest seattle which I believe is in may 2017. Pics of my build are as follows! Hope y'all enjoy.

not my thread but I read you just got orders here, I've been stationed out here for 7 years and the Honda scene is a mix of everything. you have those all out builds by the veterans, the really clean daily drivers, the track guys who spend most of the time either drag racing or killing the curves at the ridge. and then you have the fan boys, lots of them, which most of them destroy the hobby without knowing it.

def what I was going to say.. a little too much fan boys and not much quality builds.

Looking forward to seeing your build. Its nice seeing another PNW person. You don't see many clean 92-95 civics around this area anymore. You should check out mine.

WENT TO GO VISIT MY CAR TODAY.. LOOKS LIKE THEY GOT THE INTERIOR, JAMS AND BAY DONE. SAID THEY WOULD GET TO THE EXTERIOR BY THIS WEEKEND AT MOST! IM STOKED!!!! :D
P.S. I didn't care for the interior paint AS much so I just told him to spray it and make it look decent. My main focus was having the exterior look like glass. Overall I'm satisfied and was more than what I expected. I also dropped off a brand new windshield so that I wouldnt have to use my old dingy one!

HEY EVERYONE! SO STOKED TO POST THIS PICTURE.. I wish I could post all the detailed pics i have but I'm working all day. Pictures do not do this thing justice. For now..heres a teaser... unedited, no filters, etc! :D

Awesome. Thought I was gonna see another blue coupe when I clicked on this. Clean paint. That hatch is my favorite Civic body style, and its nice to see one looking that good again.
