F23A1- had to fix dizzy-
On my 98'accord 4cyl. F23A1- I got the check engine light. It was intermittent ignition- And sense the Dizzy was leaking oil, I tried to change the oil seal and O'ring on the shaft. WELL- it seems Honda in it's Infinite Wisdom, decided to change the Cir'clip that held the shaft in place, and Just ''Pressed In'' the Pin that goes through the shaft. SOoo instead of a $10.oo fix'-- Now its a $$$400.oo fix- You need to Buy a new distributor....Except I Pounded out the Pin anyway..It was not easy..Yet I did it..
The other day I got another Cel. yet I didn't get the code. and just pulled the fuse and cleared it...came back, did the fuse pull again...Now I have a nice new - OBD11 reader...Yet the code didn't come back....the dizzy cap is clean of any oil..It all looks good...It drive's fine ,,Starts Up Like a champ..(it should I just replaced the starter and battery))....I'll let you all know what happens..next in this story....later days...
