screw driver got stuck while timing.
While I was finding top dead center, I noticed my screw driver wasn't rising out of the number one cylinder. I wiggled it a bit and started to turn my crank bolt again. Well as it was rising felt unwarranted restriction while rotating the crank. I found out it was my screw driver getting stuck and not raising all the way.
Has this ever happened to anyone before? I wasn't using a lot of force but is there something I could have screwed up while doing that? It came out without a fight after I back tracked the crank. I was like crap now what!!

Dang that sucks. I hope not. I mean I wasn't putting a lot of pressure on it because t I guess after I put all my timing stuff together I'll do a compression test. I'm hoping it was just putting pressure at top of piston and spark plug hole. Thankyou for your input.
next time use something plastic. I cut a leg off of an old plant hanger. Works like a champ. I even Sharpied the line for TDC at top of spark plug tube. Very handy for valve adjustments too.
