2003 honda civic 1.7L...stalling at stops
I just bought the car yesterday and test drove it for about 40 mins... ran perfect!!! Woke up this morning to leave and it ran fine for about 20 mins and now when I driving and I come to stop signs and go to push on gas pedal it dies... starts right back up....so I took the intake off... cleaned the TPS, IACV, and the MAP sensors.... ran perfect for about 30 mins again... now its back to when I stop at stop signs and go to give it just a little bit of throttle... it dies... also when I'm going 20 or 30mph and I floor it... it starts to pick up for a couple of seconds then it idles up and down back and forth... any suggestions please??? NEED HELP!!!
Engines need two main things to run, fire and fuel. Sounds like yours has fire.....I would check and ensure you have correct fuel pressure at all times. Fuel pumps can actually be pumping just fine , but be leaking at the pump / line connection INSIDE the fuel tank. You really don t know what PO might have replaced before you got the car......
