Unlike most hood latch threads, I'm not looking to DIY fix my cable handle. My hood will release but not "pop up" when I pull the latch release. I can't open the hood unless someone pulls on it or I wedge something in there to keep it from re-latching. When I dug around I saw the larger of the two springs on the latch mechanism had broken in half. I can't find the size of that spring to buy an aftermarket replacement.
Looking to find a similar sized spring with similar tension at the local hardware store. Anyone know what size I should get?

***NOTE: I'm not interested in replacing the entire latch, I want to jimmy a new spring back on. My remote location and single father's budget makes replacing the entire latch unrealistic. No local junkyard, no local honda dealership, difficult to ship here, but a nicely stocked local hardware store with lots of springs.
