Icon4 B18b1 Swap Problems

Alright guys. This is my first swap and I'm swapping a D16y8 with an Integra LS motor (B18B1). I have a tuned integra computer and I'm missing the harness that goes from the computer to the engine harness. Im not sure what the actual part name is but it comes from the computer through the firewall and connects to the engine harness. If anybody knows what I'm talking about I'm in need of this to wrap up this swap.

Cabin/Dash Harness

Do you not have any wiring going through the fire wall or do you not have the correct plugs on the existing wiring?

Originally I had the Honda computer and wiring. Well I put the new computer in and the old wiring didn't plug in to the new engine harness or the new computer so I took it out in sear for a new wire harness little did I know if would take this long to find one. So the answer is no I have no wires going through the firewall beside the battery into the computer. That is the harness I'm looking for, so it should plug into the engine harness and have all the computer connections at the other end. These are all on the passenger side of the car.

So is your new computer OBD1? If so you'll need an adapter harness to plug in

It should be OBD2 because it can from a 98 Acura Integra. If its OBD2 should the Honda Harness plug in?

What year is your car and what year is your engine swap?

Sounds like you have an OBD2a/b car and your engine swap come with an OBD1 ECU like HondaPartsHero is hinting at. You can buy conversion/adapter harnesses like HPH said.

My car is a 1998 Honda civic EK and the motor is a 1998 Acura LS B18b1 motor then the computer was supposed to be from that same car but looking at the pictures you just posted looks like he might have gave me an OBD1 Computer in which case yes i would need the jumper harness. If it is in fact an obd1 computer will that effect getting the motor to run?

It shouldn't affect anything if they were, in fact, used together in another setup. It's normal to have a chipped OBD1 ECU. Hopefully someone else will chime in to confirm or deny. I'm actually not sure if there's an emissions concern. In the meantime you might try pursuing the FAQs. There might be some info in there. There's a hybrid/engine-swap section here that might have more info, too.
