Hondata Issues - Red Light
So I started messing around in SManager and found a few calibration tweaks I wanted to make and try them out. I bought the car with the S300 in a P28 already installed. When I hooked up to it the first time and just downloaded the calibrations, green light was on and everything seemed fine. However when I tried to upload to it, it failed and light has gone solid red ever since.
I've tried troubleshooting, software is up to date, checked all connections, opened up the ECU and checked soldered joints. It shows I am online and drivers are installed and up to date. But still gives a red light and won't upload. Tried erasing ECU, uploading a stock basemap, everything and still upload fails. Now if I download from it it appears to be running a P28 stock basemap. Car won't run, just idles a second then dies.
I am trying to contact the tuner and posted on Hondata forum for help, but haven't received a response so far. Just wondering if anyone on here has had a similar experience, and how you would go about troubleshooting the issue?
Thanks in advance
Mat

I actually got some help on the Hondata forum today. Looks like the S300 V1 ran on a battery which has died, so the only option is to upgrade to a V3. Sending my ECU in tomorrow for the upgrade, no matter what i tried still got the red light.
Good news is this explains why the car ran like crap when I brought it home and would cut out at 3200rpm. The S300 was failing and started switching to limp mode before it finally crapped out completely.
