Receiving no voltage ( at least test light don't light up) when pinned at yellow/green wire at distributor plug... the issue I'm having is no spark...however, coil passed test as well as igniter module. The ecu is new.
Ok, upon further review... here is judgement... there seems to be some power at plug due to a slight tick of voltage when test light connects to wire. however, I backpinned a positive lead to wire and a negative lead to battery positive and got low voltage around 2.53 volts but perhaps due to low battery. Also, tested coil resistance and primary seems to be at 0.00 whereas secondary is at 0.16 within specifications. I am going to replace coil and hope for the best.
Is the battery good? Can it crank the engine?
Check the dash lights like I said.
You should have about battery voltage from either primary screw of the coil to ground when the key is on.
Do not crank engine with the distributor cap off, unless you hold a grounded test wire near the coil secondary terminal. Coil damage is likely firing it into an open circuit.
