Power Steering Hose Sensor Hookup?
Hi-
I am converting my Civic CX over to power steering. I have a full PS swap that was pulled from my '96 EX. I'm having a tough time time figuring out what powers and controls the sensor thats in the PS hose. The sensor is technically called the "pressure switch assembly". I've checked the manual without any luck. Is it something that just needs 12V with the key on?
Thanks!

No, that switch only closes when the steering rack is at full lock one way or the other and the P/S pressures increases... this causes the P/S pump to put additional drag on the engine, so the switch tells the ECU to raise the idle speed of the engine a bit to keep it from stalling. One wire is ground, the other is the input wire to the ECU.
