Can someone recommend an aftermarket brand headlight. Looking for close to OEM look as possible. Just purchased a 97 LX. Headlight housing is cracked and lenses are foggy.
I'd go with TYC brand. They're the original supplier to Stanley who then acted as a middle-man and had Honda's name stamped on it. People can argue that but some google searches will show you who was the real manufacturer. I have the TYC and they're brighter than the original Honda lights. But, the TYC has a different light spread pattern, it's more of "hot spot" instead of just a boring widespread pattern. I had this 96 when new and the original lights were never that great from Honda. I did check the alignment the lights just sucked when new.
With all that said, I'd recommend the TYC lights, they have all the same features as the stock headlights (such as the bubble level to aid in alignment). and they're a great price.. about $37/each at rockauto.com. So to say buy the cheapest, I wouldn't. There's a lot of junk out there that really I doubt is DOT approved!
I've had these TYC lights since 2011 and no leaks, no problems at all.

If you can get your hands on a clean OEM light go that route or ball out on a brand new one, if not TYC is great replacement for the price. I have had them on several vehicles including my current civic and the light output and pattern is good, but like stated above they do "hotspot" a bit.
