Where is the computer box located in a 97-98 Honda civic ???

I thought the 6th gen (96-00) civic the ECU was driver side kick panel? The exact opposite side as the 5th gen (92-95). And it's behind a plastic kick plate instead of just carpet.

Assuming for a moment that we are talking about a LHD vehicle... The EK ('96-00) ECU is in essentially the same place as it is found in the EG ('92-95)... right side kick panel under the plastic trim cover. It is NOT on the floor at the foot well like the Accord/Prelude or EF/DA applications.

Okay, that means I misunderstood what others were telling me about the EK ECU.

The change being it's under a plastic kick panel instead of just a section of carpet...
