how bit is too big TB for N/A engine
we all know to obtain volumetic efficiency of a motor everything must be balanced but i'm questioning the fact of a all motor setup using a 2.2 vtec motor.. mostly the intake pipe, throttlebody and intake manifold...
i've read some rather interesting thigns on here.. moreso the tb shape and size factors concerning radius's and intake pipe diameter... I always though that matching the intake pipe with the tb would have a good velocity and produce enough sound waved accelate the flow and cause good power...
but i've read somewheres "can't find it" someting about radiusing the tb to create velocity...
i'm curious... because if you have a straight tb.. "erics racing 70mm tb" what would be the correct intake piping required or you'd have to custom made one... also should an adapter plate be made for this "radius edge".....
and could it be that a tb could hurt performance ? if too big.. mind you stock is 60mm and aftermarket are 68mm to 70mm... I don't want rebored one....rather have a cnc one if possible....
imput would be appreciated.
