was driving through the country having a nice drive and all of a sudden turning into a street, dropped the clutch and engine stalled, when it started again I got it stalling every time I put clutch in.
Seemed a little odd to happen all of a sudden and the car started chewing through fuel, idling like it was untuned weed whacker. Got her home and found 2 spark plugs covered in oil, and two were black (happy as I thought timing belt may have slipped - not good in built engine).
So I have seen the kits that replace the valve cover gasket, the bolt gaskets and the upper spark plug seals which is all good. What I want to know and is not clear in the service manual is, do the h22a1's have o-rings
for lower seals for the spark plug tubes like in other Hondas that you have to pull off the top of valves to get to. If so what are the part numbers / correct kits for them ?

Here you go.

#1 is the complete kit and includes #3 the gasket, #4 the sparkplug tube seals (qty4), #12 the grommet (qty8)
If the sparkplug tips themselves have oil on them then you have leaking valve guide seals in the cylinder head which is a completely separate issue.

#4 is the intake valve seal #5 is the exhaust seal

ok I replaced the spark plugs and the seals all is good.
However the car is still running rough and smells of fuel. I suspect error code 10, so I pulled off IAT plug and plugged in a new IAT to atmosphere and still runs and idles like crap.
any ideas

definitely code 10, replaced IAT. fixed the Oil in spark plugs, and then when got her back to normal, took her out for a drive, and then, same symptoms.
The air tubing to the MAP sensor also split...... Fixed that with all the combined issues and she is purring again.
