Default Hasport Torque Mounts

Sometime last year,I believe, Hasport came out with lower torque mounts for the 94-01 Integras and 92-00 Civics.

It says on the website that the Civics need some modification before installation. I called them and they said there is a plate you have to remove on the mounting area because the torque mounts are completely flat.

My question is has anyone bought these and installed them?

How did you remove the plate?

How is the feel on em?

Reason why I wanna buy em is that my engine is still swaying back and forth, even with Hasport 62a mounts all around. I currently have Hardrace Torque mounts, relatively new too.

Any input would be appreciated

Thanks

How do you know it's moving so much?

Did you install the rear mount? That one alone should make it very solid. Makes me wonder if something else is going on...

Yup all three upper mounts, the rear mount, the driver side post mount and transmission mount all Hasport 62a, the motor wobbles back and forth on when slowing down with high rev i.e. 5000rpm on second gear.

could be just my crappy driving lol

forgot to specify the car it's a 99 civic with a b16

How'd this work out for you? I ordered a set to replace some ebay semi-solid mounts that are much more solid than semi, the 1500 rpm vibration gives me a headache. I didn't see a plate to remove, 93 civic.

I noticed this thread is relatively new and recently replied to. I ordered the same mounts.

https://jhpusa.com/products/hasport-...ra-92-95-civic

HASPORT BILLET TORQUE MOUNTS - 94-01 INTEGRA / 92-95 CIVICSKU: DC2TM-62A

Anybody know what to look out for when installing?

I put on 60a mounts, they're awesome. The only thing is mount base is flat and holds the bolt holes about ⅛" away from frame. I used some thick washers to make up the difference and 3 months later, no issues.

This means that you are using the mounts on a Civic chassis, which has small alignment/locating plates welded to the bottom of the frame rails. You can either modify the mounts by cutting the bottom of them to fit around the locating plates OR drill the spot welds out of the locating plates and remove them from the bottom of the frame rails.

I have them here but they look identical i guess that's right?

they only sent me two long bolts and 4 big washers. I need 4 socket cap screws m10 1.25 pitch 40mm. Anything else doesn't fit right. Hard to find locally. Now i have to wait for those special bolts. What a pain in the butt.

Identical

that doesn't make much sense because the center hole of the mount needs to line up with the holes of the engine or transmission. Are your center bolts not at an incorrect angle with your washer setup?

no, i compared them to the solid mounts i had on that were dished to fit over the plate. I'll get a picture tomorrow.

JHP is sending the bolts so i can return the ones I bought.

All 5 of my engine / transmission mounts are hasport now. Idling there's no bad vibration, only at launch there's some new vibration.

to minimize vibration I heard about the engine mount torque sequence? For a 95 civic ex d16z6 vtec.

when i look it up i see things like:Tighten engine mount to chasis bolts in this order:
  1. Right top trans mount.
  2. Left top engine mount.
  3. Rear trans mount.
  4. Right front trans mount.
  5. Left front engine mount.

Others say:

Rear first, then front, right front, then left front.

More like:

Tighten the engine mounting bolts in the following sequence:

a. Tighten the rear engine mount-to-frame bolts snug only

b. Tighten the rear engine mount through-bolt snug only

c. Tighten the rear engine mount through-bolt snug only

d. Tighten the side transaxle mount through-bolt snug only

e. Tighten the engine side mount through-bolt snug only

f. Tighten the side transaxle mount-to-block nuts to 28 ft. lbs.

g. Tighten the engine side mount-to-block bolt and nut to 40 ft. lbs.

h. Tighten the rear engine mount through-bolt to 47 ft. lbs.

i. Tighten the rear engine mount-to-frame bolts to 40 ft. lbs.

j. Tighten the front engine mount through-bolt to 47 ft. lbs.

k. Tighten the side transaxle mount through-bolt to 40 ft. lbs.

l. Tighten the engine side mount through-bolt to 40 ft. lbs.

and my hayes manual doesn't seem to specify.
