2006 Civic Si coupe
ok I'm at the point where I just want to replace my suspension. I'm starting to actually understand it a lot better as well.... I was thinking of losing the coilovers and going Eibach pro-kit lowering springs. They lower the car 1 inch in the front and 1.2 inches in the rear. Then I was thinking Koni orange STR.T shocks. any comment on this? I'm new to suspension sorry. I might go with the eibach sportline shocks. lowers 1.4 inches in the front and back

Nothing wrong with Koni oranges and Eibach prokits.
I'd avoid Sportlines if you plan to actually drive the car on real life roads. Eibach makes the same recommendation...but not as bluntly.
Someone is inevitability going to suggest Koni Yellows. Unfortunately, they're only available as cartridges for the 06+ Si. STR-T's are available as complete shock housings.
I think a decent set of coilovers is going to cost the same as the Koni orange/Prokit combo. There are some advantages to a coilover kit...including (but not limited to) adjustable height, increased travel, and adjustable damping.

If they're used properly, a street coilover should last a long time.
My Tein SA's (Street ADVANCE) are going on 60K miles in the Chicago burbs (and NYC and Detroit, etc). They're a little tired after all the miles.... but still working great. They're not bouncy. I figure I'll probably get 75K out of them before I replace them ($575). They ride better than the stock TSX suspension...which doesn't say much because the stock suspension kinda sucks. But quite a few passengers have commented on the car's smoothness. And I've driven the car on lots of long road trips - to Canada once.
I think for a Si, they're probably like... $750? Try thmotorsports.com
IDK if you're looking to spend a little money...but I think Bilstein PSS9's are available for the Si. A *little* pricey, but effing premium.
A few other choices:
No experience with their coilovers....but a few people seem to have had luck with AMR.
Fortune Auto is another small company that seems to get positive reviews.
Also no experience with PIC's coilovers...but their customer service was top notch and a few of my friends are extremely happy with their product.
