Default 2001 Honda CRV - draining battery

Hi all!

I've been having an issue with my 2001 Honda CRV draining my battery. Just purchased a new battery yesterday, and car will not crank over today after starting and stopping approximately 4 times.

Now - some background.... I've had an existing issue with the idle control valve. The control valve is done! I have to throw it in neutral so it doesn't die at stop lights, etc. Seems to run much better as the day goes on. But in the mornings I'll have to restart the car in the driveway as it will die several times.

Also, this car's alarm system seems to have a mind of its own. I've completely disconnected all the wires under the dash where they connect to an on off switch, but even still the alarm will sound. I have no idea how its still in a complete circuit. But it will at random, trigger the alarm.

Somehow my battery is drained, and I have no clue as to why...

Given this information mentioned, can anyone offer insight as to why my battery continues to die?

On both my Hondas from 1998, an Accord and a Cr-V I hade problems with the ignition-power-assembly (behind the key), I replaced them and since then all problems have vanished
