Default Bought a used engine, hard to turn over by hand ratchet @ crankshaft.

Okay, longtime on going project. So I buy this b18c1 engine & transmission replace oil pan gasket added oil then dropped it in my integra and it kills any battery i put in, stalls any car i use to try jump start it.
I try to turn the engine over via ratchet on crankshaft bolt but hard to spin over (only can turn clockwise because it unscrews the crankshft bolt clockwise).
Timing marks are on point now that i fixed it from being one tooth retarded intakeside

I even put it in gear and try to roll/rock it forward .... not even a budge (seems stuck)

Seeing that there is a turbo on that motor you should have check that before you bought it.

I did spin it over prior to purchasing engine (only counterclockwise & very stiff.. figured it was because of spark plugs still in.) Engine came from a boosted 4dr integra who could not stop at red light.

I also removed valve cover an cams to inspect ...all visually seemed ok except 1 tooth retard on intake cam

should i
#1 buy head gasket set and remove head, inspect & prepare to buy new valves too?
Or
#2 buy pistons, rods, arp head studs and pay machine shop $1350 to machine, balance, and assemble block?
Or
#3 "jus pour sum oil down in dem cylinders and she'll spin over jus fine"

Don't buy any new parts until you have a good idea of what the problem is. I'd start by pulling it and bolting it up to a stand. ($60 at Harbor Freight) Then pull the head and make sure it's in order, and if so start on the block. You got a boosted GSR motor in unknown condition so I wouldn't be surprised if you end up having to do a full rebuild.

I only bought it thinking this would be cheaper than rebuilding my ls-vtec

Pulled the valve cover off and realized the timing was off by a tooth or two. Pulled spark plugs out, cams out, set block to TDC, then camshafts to align at marks .. put valve cover back on. New battery & fresh fuel.....
Voila! She starts ...tears of j😂y!!!!!!
Thanks for the comments, replys & archives of others struggles.

🤔Has a slight missfire or something, but if it warms up tommorow ... imma be on it!
