I am about to purchase a 95 GSR motor out of an integra, was wondering if 95's came with VIN numbers on the block?

Also, when purchasing an engine from an individuals, what kind of papers do I need to show that it is legit that the insurance company will accept?

block will have a stamp on it that says b18c1 for a gsr. and i think that you can use carfax for the # they give you.

 

Im pretty sure that 1995 was the only year that there wasnt a metal vin plate. And there should also be that B18C1 on the block. Hope this helps you out.

 

if there isnt a metal vin plate on the 95's, then where is the VIN located?
