Default Blow me... softly.

The heater on my first gen V is weak as ****. On high I can "hear" it pushing air but it's not actually making it out of the vents. Doesn't matter what setting it's on the air pressure stays weak.

Any thought's on this? Air filter need replacing? It's -20 here so hopefully it's a quick easy job if so. Any other thoughts?

Just did a quick youtube search and I guess I'll be swapping my filter this weekend. Easy 10 minute job. I'll post back and hopefully that's the problem.

Post a pic of where the filter is... I didn't know the first gens even have one. I swapped my fan motor and resistor and it helped a LOT but it's still weak as ****.

edit: I searched YouTube too... then bought a new filter on amazon. Curious to see how much it helps. Post your results up here.

That's the video I watched. Pretty easy according to the vid. Just getting a price now on the actual filter from Lordco

Define normal. It goes up and down with engine temps yes.

Hey Berz, you ever do the install? I just got my filter in the mail today. Can't wait to put it in. Wondering which filter you went with and how it went for you. Any noticed improvements?

My heat used to take forever to get hot even if I ran the car for 30 mins but I know for sure that's my thermalstat stuck opened that's why It took forever to get hot ... after I replaced the thermalstat it is working now I mean hot . I haven't changed the cabin filter yet but I already bought it ...just haven't got a chance to replace .

My CR-V is no more. Picked my Element up yesterday! I'll be changing that cabin filter though as it's way easier than the CR-V

I know just wasn't sure if you had ever got it in there before it got hit. Trying to keep the thread alive also as I'm doing this today.

It's actually a huge pain in the *** on a 99. I had to remove the lower center console because there are two more bolts securing the left side than any of the videos show. But...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CHANGE YOUR CABIN AIR FILTERS, PEOPLE!

RD1 are terrible to get at. That bar you have to remove is a pain in the ***. At least with the element it's just behind the glove box. Nothing in the way.

Blows REALLY strong. Defrost works NOTICEABLY better too. I never even realized the two side vents are always on unless you close them because they got almost no air flow before LOL.
