Default Greddy BOV real/fake

I got the BOV from a known seller online
any one with a genuine Greddy BOV RZ can confirm the authenticity of this. Thank you

When in doubt dont trust it lol. what I been doing lately instead of buying stuff from various sellers on ebay is just call lighting motorsports they will more often then not match or beat ebay prices and they only sell authentic stuff

The background shows a USPS box... is that what it came in ??? Not a GReddy box ??? Just looking at your pictures, it certainly appears to be a fake/copy based on the casting/machining processes alone. What did you pay for it ??? If the price was too good to be true... then you know you got a fake. Welcome to the Internet. Good parts ain't cheap... and cheap parts ain't good !!!

Im convinced that it is a fake.

The clue for me is the top plate with the word "GREDDY". Take notice at how the letters run together and are messy. ALL Greddy products are not like this and are crisp and clear. As fake as fake could be in my book.

Sorry. Makes me hate Chinese parts even more.

Forget about top plate. Look at the quality of machining. The world plunged into the fake. I think there is no problem with this in the US, it's sad
I hope you bought it not at the price of the original.

My guess is fake. Its missing the gold valve seal ring. Maybe contact Greddy to verify.

You couldnt take it out of the bag for the pics? lol

i got more that one item from the seller and put everything on one box to save shipping. This company is pretty well known for their JDM parts and i would have not thought they sell fake ones. I got for $190.

It's been certified by 5 people. And some of us have owned a lot of GReddy stuff over the years..

there's nothing GReddy can do about it. Send it back or live with the decision already..

One other important detail...

GReddy no longer sells the RZ type BOV. They now only have the FV and Type R in their current product line up. This means that either the seller had some old discontinued stock or it is a fake/copy. You didn't buy it from GReddy, so contacting them will do nothing for you, that is unless the online seller that you purchased it from is listed on GReddy's website as an authorized dealer/distributor.

Yep... In which I'm willing to bet isn't likely they are an authorized dealer/distributor.

One of those, ' if you have to ask, you probably already know'.
If you're not a stickler for name-brand products only, my advice is to run it and just leak test it. A friend runs the same BOV, which we are sure is fake, and works perfectly.

What's so great about them to chase a Greddy anyway, is the sound so unique, action so exclusively fast? Appearance?
