98 Accord Fuel problem
I think I've got a fuel flow issue. Today is the second time in a couple weeks that the car would crank just fine but wouldn't engage.
Chugga, chugga, chugga, no vroom vroom.
I sprayed starter fluid into the intake and it sputtered to life. Seems fine now. But since this happened 2 weeks ago I know it's gonna happen again.
I'd change the fuel filter but there's not one, as far as I can tell.
I'm thinking that some fuel injector cleaner in the tank might be good.
Change the fuel pump?
Any other ideas?
212K miles. Changed timing belt, water pump, and all the other belts about 6 weeks ago.

Thanks, that's a great explanation. A real flow chart type troubleshooter - my kind a guy.
The fact that my experience falls in the middle is always a little discouraging. ie: starter fluid doesn't just allow the engine to run for a few seconds, the engine sputters to life and runs for 2 weeks.
Probably the definition of an intermittent problem. Like a fuel pump on it's way out, but which can be kicked real hard with starter fluid and decide it'll work again for a minute.
I put some Chevron fuel system cleaner and filled up the tank. That probably won't hurt anything.
Fuel pressure test is in the near future.
If anybody else has seen this I'd be glad to know what you found.
