what would be better?

Default what would be better?

ok i have a 95 si motor but in order to run it needs new cam and cam gear and some new rods. what would you guys do? i can buya b16a1 engine for $1300 or a b18b (LS) for $900. i dont know whether to save the money to fix the D16 and rebuilt it or to just drop one of the other 2 and on the Ls i was thinking of and LS-Vtec conversion i dont what do you guys think?

But wouldnt the Ls-Vtec put out more power? or what are the advantiges or dis? i'm like thinking to hard. Or is that hard or how much is it to make?

if you have time and money go with ls/vtec. you might have realiability issues if not dont right. the b16 is going to be cheaper and more reliable.

does the b16 or b18 come with tranny, mounts, axles, ecu, shift linkage, etc? It all adds up quick! The $1300 b16 can become a $3000 project before you know it, and you're still left with an old, tired engine.

I'd say, if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, go for one of the b-series. But if you want good, reliable power without breaking the bank, re-build the d16z6. For about a grand you can have esentially a brand new engine with some suprising performance. And it will bolt right in using your existing mounts, transmission, linkage, etc.

Ok the b18b engine will come with every thing i need for $900 and i still have to order the b16a its just i dont know what will be better every one i ask have diffrent answers so i dont know what really to do at this point
