Whatsupp ok 1996 dc4. JDM itr front end conversion. I got a da hood latch and da hood release cable. Ran it all together and it won't pop. I'm glad I tested it with the side of a screwdriver lol. The cable had a bend in the plastic part that slides into the metal. Barely at all but it does have use. Cable is all there though. Do I need the da release part in the cabin under the dash? What y'all guys think?

 

I can't remember since I did mine over 10 years ago. I used my original hood latch release. Did you turn around the hood latch on the radiator support (see picture below)?

 

no I just have the cable running behind the center bar it's mounted to. What's holding that curve? How do I mount it like that?

 

I just have a DA hood latch mounted and the cable running behind it around into the latch. what do i have wrong?

Re use your DC2 hood latch and turn it around the bolt should line up.

and why is the subframe so low and rack and pinion so low did you have it out?

 

I took the whole rack and pinon out so it can be restore (clean and re-paint) with everything else in the engine bay.


You will need a DC2/DC4 latch.
