hey guys I recently got my head back from the shop I got new valves and resurfaced. I blew my head gasket cause a heater hose came off and fried it a bit. I got the head on its timed. I had cheap autolight spark plugs in and I'm pretty sure they cool packs are good they were before the head gasket blew. could the cheap spark plugs cause misfiring? I have ngk coming later today. the car set for 2months with the intake manifold and fuel line exposed to air so I'm thinking that could of caused it to gum up and clog. The weird thing is it only misfires during idle when I give it throttle it seems fine.

bump....
Let me know if you think this could be a timing issue I have the jdm k24a motor the timing chain has 2 black links for the top on each cam gears and one black link for the crank sprocket I put the dots on the cams between the 2 black links but the lines on the sides of the cam gears where not exactly lined up but very close to it. on the crank sprocket I put the black link on the dot but I'm not completely sure if it has to be exact with the arrow pointing up at top dead center. the chain should be good it is a jdm motor that I put 8k miles on and a heater hose came off that blew the head gasket ap the chain shouldn't be stretched. and it is a very clean motor especially the head for blowing a gasket it was in great shape.
I'm not sure if the dot had to be on the black link or between them since there were 2 it is confusing since there's not a whole lot of info on it. please someone help me I've been on this project for two months cause I haven't had much time
I'm renting a compression gauge today I finally found that the 2nd cylinder is the problem. what is the n9rmal psi for a k24? ya ya I'm going to search.
ok new ground installed same problem. about to test compression I'll let yall know how it goes. I wouldn't think my injectors are bad they weren't before they could be clogged the intake manifold was off the car sitting in my shed for 2 months how would I go about cleaning the injectors or should I replace them if I have g9od compression?
Just compression test it first. See what's going on with the engine first. It's not easy to get a warped head installed and working properly. See if you did.
