Default another coilover question....(teins)

yea i searched and couldn't get a solid answer. does anyone know how the ride height is adjusted on the tein flex dampers? do you have to change the preload to change the ride height or is the base threaded? i drive the car every day so the edfc would be a very nice thing to have but i do want the ride height and preload to be separate. i know it's not for an r but the only answer i'll get in the civic forum is to buy apc coilovers and not to waste my money on teins thanks in advance guys.

It means you don't have to adjust the spring height, aka preload. You can leave the coilover to have full stroke, and just adjust the height of the car by the bottom thread. It moves the shock BODY insted of making the stroke shorter.

that is for HA only...............
for flex, u can shorten the overall lenght(to low down the car) by using the base. the whole point of the new type flex is to able to low down the car WITHOUT affecting the stroke/proload of the shock.

sometime, the manual from tein is confusing, i got a friend who got a RE and he installed that according to the manual. at the end, we found out there is 10mm preload has been put on the spring.(14kg/mm spring, which is around 700lbs, and there is 140kg/mm preload )
