Default 2000 CR-V 5spd Lower Balljoint Removal !!!

I am at the point to remove this old balljoint and wondering if you guys any suggestions or have a better way to remove beside cutting the thread and hammer it from the bottom ? I have loan the ballpoint press from Autozone but that's when you press the new balljoint in ...not taking it out . Correct ?

Take the snap ring off, hammer out the ball joint from the bottom (hit the stud, it'll come out) tap in new ball joint (use a socket the size of the BJ, or a piece of wood, or a dead blow hammer...)
