Default Oil in Intake

So I'm new to Hondas, just got my EM1 a while back(w/B20 and Vtech head), I've got a small leak on Vtech solenoid gasket, I wanted to know are there any notable brands I should be looking out for?

I've found that my air filter was in need of replacement, when I took it out I noticed a minor oil leak in my intake. I wanted to know should I be looking at my PCV Valve? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

*VTEC

Buy an OEM VTEC solenoid gasket from a dealer or website.

How many miles are on your car? Changing the PCV valve is a good maintenance thing to do. Especially if its a high mileage car and its never been changed. Your crank case ventilation system will route unburned gases into your intake from the valve cover. The unburned gases contain combustion products and unburned oil. A little is normal. If you're getting a lot of gunk in your intake from the valve cover hose, it's probably because you've excessive crankcase pressure. So, changing the PCV valve would help. You're car will also run better and quieter. Hopefully that's the only cause.

Sounds good, I'll check my local dealer for the VTEC gasket. I'll also pick up a PCV Valve.

In regardless to mileage, my odometer reads 250,000KM, but to honest who really knows because I bought it with the B20 swap already done.

Get a solenoid gasket from Honda.

The PCV valve is supposed to direct oil vapors into the intake tract to be burned. A little oil in the plenum is normal on high mileage engines. A new PCV valve is cheap but may not be necessary.
