Hey, I just bought a 99 Si, en the rear end sits noticeable lower than my front end.... what should I should be checking?

Hey, I need some suspension help. I've got a bit of a head scratcher. So, I bought an EJ coupe a while back. It had some aftermarket rims, (same size, same size tires as stock). I recently bought some EM1 OEM rims, exact same size, exact same tire size as aftermarket. Before I put them on I filled with air. 1 had a huge gash, so I thought meh, I'll just put front 2 on and then, get new rubber for back 2. So I put them on and oddly enough, when I went for a quick drive. I heard a loud thumping noise from rear end and rubbing from rear, also they rub on the front when turning hard to the left. SO, I thought well, I need to put my other 2 front rims on because something is obviously out of whack like a bad tire, bend rim, who knows. Put old 2 aftermarket rims on (so all 4 aftermarket rims are on again), and it's still making rubbing on back, and that loud thumping that increases when accelerating. Rubbing from rear again. I'm not sure the significance of this BUT the car has always been oddly lower on the rear since I had it.

Any suggestions or thoughts would REALLY be appreciated.

It's not even worth it, I feel like a complete tool and I will admit it when I'm absolutely wrong. I had a buddy, who broke all 4 lugs while I went to make sure tires had air. Since 1 wasn't holding air on the other set of OEM rims we were going to at least do 1st 2 wheels. Went for drive then that thumping started. But on previous wheels, started thumping. So before inspecting BOTH rear lugs were still loose.... IDIOT!!!! After making sure the lugs were tight she's back to her normal self.

On an unrelated note, I do plan on upgrading my bushings. Looking at starting with ES rear trailing arms. I wanted to know is there a tool to remove the OEMs? or just bang it out?

Yes there is a tool but it's pretty costly... I've seen people use a hammer it just takes a lot longer and is a PITA. Or you can take the arm to your local machine shop they'll press it out.

Also I'd opt for either OEM or hardrace for the RTA bushing, but if energy has a non polyurethane option I suppose you'd be fine with that. Don't get polyurethane.

Lol ya, never told me that rears were broke when we started so assumed they weren't as the front was jacked up first.

In most cases when a lugnut breaks it takes the wheel stud with it too. In that case I'd beat his ***..... Or actually make him pay for the studs then beat his *** lol.
