Hey guys so i recently blew my heads and swapped the gasket.put it all back together and have been chasing electrical probs since. started with no spark and no injector pulse but it turned out i didnt have the crank sensor plugged in all the way. now i have full spark and my cel is not flashing. but stil no injector pulse. i have 12v to one side of the injector but no ground pulse on the other. i also have plenty of fuel pressure. and am pretty positive my timing is right. what could cause only injector pulse to fail? the ecu ground is attached.

 

Check all your fuses, both in the engine bay and the driver side kick panel.

 

I worked it out. in the Haynes manual the distributor/cylinder diagram has no orientation marks so i read it wrong. had all my plug wires in the right order but rotated 180°.which would have been fairly easy to diagnose but in combination with the fact that i must have taken the dist off on the exhaust tdc on accident means i marked it 180° wrong and put it back wrong. so in theory if the plug wires are 180° around as well as the dist rotor it should run right? i think the cyp sensor was cancelling the injector pulse while silently calling me an idiot. no cel which suprises me. the only reason i figured it out is i found a diagram for the plug wires with an orientation mark and thought "i think i have mine on different..."

 

No, because the engine timing is going to be off in relation.
