Icon5 shut off rear brakes, is it possible?

I have a 1998 Civic, and the rear brake lines are rusted out. I need to get car from one side of county to the other (rural route). I want to plug off rear brakes at master cylinder. Is this possible, or is there a better way to bypass rear brakes temporarily?

He could disconnect the rear lines from the prop valve up front on the firewall and plug the holes, right? The rear brakes only do like 20% of the stopping power, he'll probably be fine in a pinch.
