Obd0 engine harness rewire question

Default Obd0 engine harness rewire question

So im in the process of ripping out my old d15y8 minime setup and dropping in a b16a2. My car is a 91 dx. I recently got this car back after a year of being apart from it. The original obd0, dpfi harness has been butchered. I traced down some wires and replaced what i could figure out with plugs off a complete da9 harness i got for 5 bucks. There arent any injector wires in the harness anymore, not even the dpfi ones. I got really confused with this harness because it looks nothing like it should and i know theres still wires missing here and there that go to god knows what. Anyway, ive got this obd0 si harness thats complete, all original, not cut in any way. Now i know you cant just plug and play with an si harness because... well its an si harness and they were wired differently. SO, how do i go about repinning the plugs for this to where it will work? I know the easiest thing to do would be use the old harness and tie in the 4 injector wires blah blah blah. In this case, my old harness is junk and i happen to have an si harness laying around thats perfectly able to do the job when wired right. Dont preach to me that i should buy another dpfi harness and start over when ive got a perfectly fine harness in my hands right now. Is there any step by step thread somewhere for this that ive overlooked, because i cant find one anywhere. Probably because all i see in threads on difficult subjects like this tend to tell the person to buy the easier way out. And i dont want to spend even more money on something i dont need, So if anyone could please help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

there is no step by step thread to do what you want to do, and for good reason - the DX chassis harness is not compatible with the Si engine harness as the DX chassis harness does not contain a lot of the wires needed and because of this, has one less connector for the engine harness to plug into - look at the passenger side connectors on the Si harness and you will find it has (3) connectors - the DX chassis harness has only (2) - to do what you want, you would need to completely modify the chassis harness which would be a nightmare - much easier to just get a DPFI engine harness and modify it, or swap out the chassis harness for one from an Si (also not a simple job)
