Fuel pump/Rail/Injector questions
I was thinking of upgrading my stock components to the aforementioned, but I had a question. I currently run a adjustable wet nitrous kit (75 shot) on the stock block.
Are these upgrades a simple bolt-on? What I mean is, are there any other additional modifications that need to be done to compensate for the increased fuel flow? I would assume that I would use an adjustable regulator or other fuel control device.
Thanks

those items are not going to help you that much unless your getting close to the 200 wheel hp range. Don't underestimate the stock components you already have unless there is something wrong with them(broken). They are easy to install except for the pump which isn't hard it just takes some time because of the removal of the rear seat.

If you want to tailor your fuel .... in addition to those components listed .. you can get a SAFC .. install it .. and have a performance shop with a wideband a/f meter Dyno tune your car and adjust the fuel on the dyno..
if you have stock cams ... the fuel upgrades wouldnt yield a great performance increase .. but would make your engine a little safer for the nitrous with the fuel properly tuned .... in the meantime ... reset your ecu .. and let the car recalibrate itself ..
I've already experienced the dark side of nitrous: I melted a piston. I picked up a used B18A to avoid a costly rebuild and I haven't touched the nitrous since--too scared
. Anyway, I know that it was a fuel issue so I wanted to take the money I have saved to upgrade the whole fuel system. I just figured that if I replace the OEM with higher performance parts (i.e. bigger injectors, fuel pump, fpr, safc, and an ignition) it would give me more options in the future. For example, LS/vtec, turbo, nitous, etc...

Ok if you want to upgrade the whole fuel system .. you will need
Injectors
Fuel Rail
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel Pressure Gauge
Fuel Filter doesnt really matter .. just buy a new OEM one
Fuel Pump
SAFC
I would also add an Ignition Kit
then have your fuel properly tuned by a performance shop with a wideband A/F meter on the dyno
and then still dont run a huge shot on the stock pistons

With a wet shot, the jetting controlls the amount of fuel injected while on the spray. Your fuel system is fine. At a 100 shot or higher you will want to upgrade the fuel pressure regulator and maybe the fuel pump.
It might not be a bad idea to upgrade your ignition.

I personally own a Jacobs ICE pak .. definately enjoy mine ! Jacobs have been around a long time www.jacobselectronics.com
Jacobs Sells a seperate module to control nitrous at certain RPMs i believe ... other ignition kits might have this built in .. im not sure about the other kits

I just got my MSD Digital 6 in the mail today from Summit. Its costly but something to consider if you are going to go forced induction, I wouldn't bother for NA - stock is more than sufficient for most NA setups. People use the stock ignition setup for up to 300whp, even using stock wires, so you don't need to upgrade unless you are going with a larger bore and need a stronger spark if the flame travel is increased.
