Default 2006 Accord CMP sensor question

hey guys got a question on my 06' accord ex 2.4.

- ck engine light comes on after cold start and stays on. Can tell it doesn't run right with light on. But, if I pull the + battery terminal off. Ck engine light turns it off. It stays off for the rest of the day (starting or driving) and car runs good. Unless car sits long enough (like overnight)...gets cold enough. Then ck engine light comes back on on start up.

- With the super deteco car breathalyzer it blows a P0341 code. "camshaft position sensor". So goggling that... sensor itself, bad or dirty wiring etc, reluctor wheel/ring, starter.

Questions:

1. trying to eliminate starter...how does it sound starting?

2. These are the sensors? Intake on left, exhaust on right?

Thanks!!!

P0341: CMP Sensor and CKP Sensor Incorrect Phase Detected.

It usually is not the sensor. A damaged or stretched chain will set the P0341 trouble code; the chain has stretched past the limit of the tensioner. Low or dirty oil is usually the cause. The car's computer expects to see the camshafts and the crankshaft at certain positions throughout the rev band and when it doesn't it sets this code..

so I would need a new timing chain installed? Anything else?

Add items won't really be known until you get in there and inspect them, it could need the guides/tensioner, seals, ect.

yeah that makes sense.

One thing I've been trying to do is, test the sensors by testing for resistance with ohm meter. I am getting nothing from either one. I even had my neighbor (electrician) check with his meter. ...thinking maybe they need to be removed first to be tested for some reason?
