Need Assistance: How to determine turbine Hsg exhaust A/R on this unit?
Got a used Garrett from a parts car, need more details about this turbo.
how do i determine the exhaust A/R?

how do i determine the exhaust A/R?

That looks to be a .68A/R turbine housing for that T4 60-1 turbocharger, one of the smaller volutes.. Maximum power potential is about the high 500whp low-600whp with about 28psi of boost pressure efficiency, regardless of fuel used. It's considered to be an "oldie but goodie".
awesome! thanks bud!
i just looked at the old ad and it said "Garret full 60-1 W/ptrim T4" what does the "p-trim" mean?

It's an older description of the turbine wheel size diameter. we use actual numbers now, and that's how I was able to determine the size and profile of the turbo. When you see enough of them, you know what you're looking at when it comes to a Garrett.

You know you have a problem when you can determine turbine trim just by looking at it *sigh*
It does have an ATP turbine housing on it, IIRC they only made the .68 in a T4 footprint for the P-trim back in 2011, everything else was larger or smaller and this wound up being the logical "middle ground."

ATP still makes them now, just not as many. Too many want the divided housing when they go T4 now.
