Default What are my weighted shift ball options?

I'm interested in buying a shift ball, since my 95 EG didn't come with one threaded. Does anyone know of a manufacture that makes a weighted spherical shift ball that is threaded which also doesn't have a logo plastered on it? I've looked at Blox and some other known brands, but I'm not a fan of their logo's being on the ball.

[EDIT - I might roll the dice and try one off eBay before I drop some serious money on a ball.]

Thanks!

This thread asks the same exact question and no one gets upset at it... I would have replied to that thread, but some of the mods would rather have a person start a new thread when it's that old. Where exactly is the problem with my thread?

That was 8 years ago. Very well could have been a different culture then. It could be threads like that that created the culture of today that threads in the technical section has to have technical merit.

Interestingly enough, the other thread is a bit more involved and included the short shifter not just the shift ball.

And I might note, looking through it, there was some technical details provided on certain shift *****.

OP in this thread just asked for an unmarked ball without desiring or providing any technical aspects. i.e. material, shape, indexed etc.

This thread is more opinion poll and is why it's less acceptable.

If I may inquire, where would you request this thread be moved to?

TomCat39, thank you for the information and clarification!

I actually wasn't certain where the appropriate forum this thread should go to. More or less this is an accessory question which you pointed out. Do you have a recommendation for a location?

Really don't know what section would be best for this kind of question.

Misc/Tech seems to be much more loose in the culture and a lot more types of inquiries flow through here without issue.

And you might get some technical info in response to boot.

I don't see a suitable location. You may delete this thread if you wish.

I did a search. I just wanted more opinions separate from what I have already gathered.

I just installed a Modifystreet - SK-512 B-BK shift ball weighing in at 450g. I'm liking it a lot, but I haven't test driven it yet.

The shift ball is working great, however apparently I used the wrong thread insert. Does anyone know of a good trick to back out a thread insert that's in the shift ball?
