Default Single-Stage paint job.

Hey guys,
So about a a month ago, I tackled the paint on my car using LIMCO Single Stage Vogue Silver Metallic, everything came out good with a light amount of orange peel. I've began the wet sanding process on one side of the car and have began to knock back the orange peel and it looks good but I'm not getting the shine out of the paint that I want. I also have a couple heavy spots that seem to have more sheen than the rest of the paint. Can a wetsand remove these imperfections and would it be a bad idea to clear over the single stage paint?

Thanks,
ej6dx

Sheen?

What kind of single stage paint was it?

Sanding single stage metallic is never a good idea. The metallics start to distort because you are sanding right on them.
Pics would help.

What compounds/buffing tools are you using?
Should at least be finishing with 1500grit then use some cutting compound followed by polish.
You won't get a shine with just sand paper.
