I recently bought an 00' Civic DX for a daily driver. About a week after I got it, I had a check engine light turn on. I had it scanned, and it came back as being an O2 sensor. I bought the sensor, and on my way home the car would almost die any time I stopped. The whole car would shake pretty violently until I shut the AC off. The AC is not even blowing cold anymore. Anybody have any idea what might be causing this?

 

Car runs perfectly fine without A/C off, and there are no CEL codes?

 

Yeah runs great with the AC off. I don't have any codes showing right now.

 

The condenser fan should run when the A/C is turned on. Does it?

 

clean the idle air control valve, and adjust the throttle screw so it raises the idle while the a/c is on.
