98 civic lx - Passenger side front bumper bolt is stripped
Hello! So I got a new set of headlights I wanted to replace my current ones with but the passenger side 10mm bolt is stripped. It's in a tight spot so I can't take it out with the stripped bolt kits and every video I've found is for a bolt that's out in the open. Does anyone have any advice on how to take it off? Thanks again.
Yeah I'm guessing the OP is trying to detach the fender from the bumper, then remove the bumper-- all of which is necessary to R&R headlights since the bolts for the bottom of the headlights are covered up by the bumper.
After 20 years of rusting you usually just end up breaking the bolts so you can get it apart, once apart it is easier to see how to clean out the holes and replace with new bolts.

There's probably a nut on top so he needs to hold that in place. The fenders use a plastic piece and a philips head screw to hold the bumper to the fenders, thats the oem way.
Just remove the splash guard back a bit to look in there.

MM&Y of car and trim level?
I have never run into a Honda/Acura that used a bolt, [instead of screw] to attach clip end to fender, maybe something someone added, in which case, [as mentioned] there must be a nut on the other side. 94

I suggest getting a Rivet nut tool. I have used mine a ton, pretty much every mounting hole for my side skirts were pushed up so I drilled them and put in 10mm rivet nuts and then used some 10mm bolts to attach everything. Same goes for my rear bumper bolts, those things are always bent and tweaked so I put in the rivet nuts and a 10mm bolt and now its solid. My fronts still have clips with screws and I have not had the need to swap them out yet but if I every have an issue that's what I will do.
Honda Automotive Parts shows as a 5x16 tapping screw, #17
So I am guessing someone replaced the screw with a bolt, and there must be a nut on the other side of it, peal back the inner fender to get it out of the way so you can reach behind the bolt to hold the nut. 94
