Tire size question (searched but could not find)
I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX Coupe that has 185/70-14 tires as tthe factory stock size.
I need new tires and have found a practically new set of Yokohama Avids that are 205/70-14.
My question is has anyone here run that size on their stock 91 Accord? I realize the my speedo would read about 3 mph slower that actual with these on but would that clear everything, perform decently, and look alright on the factory steelies?

I am not sure they would clear the upper portion of the knuckle, at best the sidewall will rub in a turn due to the rollover of the massive sidewall.
Problem with 14" tires in that size is they can vary greatly in actual size, they may be 25.5-26" tall(factory is 24.3") and anywhere from 7-9" wide at the sidewall bulge. Balloons.
Performance wise, only a few tires in that size have any decent kind of grip, most are in the 680-800 treadwear(bricks) 'decent' ones are 500 and there is a smattering of 400 treadwear. If you live in a cold/wet climate, these tires are going to have you skidding around. They are made for a vehicle that is at least 500lbs heavier.
Unless the Yoks are near free(installed) and you only plan on putt-putting around the farm, forget it.
