Hey everyone, how it going. my youngest brother is need of a drivers side rear upper control arm or bushings. Honda no longer makes the part and says the bushings are all one piece of the control arm. I called several part stores and not a single one can get the upper bushings or even control arm. Is there any option of going to like a full aftermarket control arm like a ebay special to get him by for the time being. it's just a 1989 Honda Prelude 5 speed 2 door non 4 wheel steer. So if anyone knows please let me know.

rockauto has a bunch of bushings but no arms, that's for the dohc, you will need to check the sohc section if you have the sohc

 

aftermarket bushings are pretty much the only option and work amazingly well. there are none made specifically for the 3g prelude, but many bushings from other hondas are a direct drop in, or minimal modification.
prothane 8-213 is the bushing kit you need for upper control arms. front and rear uppers are the same bushings, each kit is good for a pair of arms. you will need to buy fender washers though, and will need to grind the arm down a little on the part that goes between the bushings. I suggest stainless steel 3/8" fender washers.
