Is my Fuel Pump Bad?
Hey guys,
1993 Integra with a 2000 spec JDM type R motor. The car was running fine and the other day, it started, ran for about 30 seconds and sputtered and bogged out.
I would attempt to start the car and it would fire and IMMEDIATELY die. It kept doing so.
Removed the Fuel Line from the fuel rail and confirmed I am not getting fuel.
With the key in the ignition I can hear the fuel pump priming as usual. I have never changed the fuel pump in my years owning it and for all I know it can be the original pump to the car.
My concern is would I still be hearing the pump priming with the key in the ignition if it were bad? Any ideas. Thanks

Thanks for the reply- I have confirmed that I am not getting fuel. I removed the fuel line from the firewall and although I hear the pump priming- no fuel is being passed through. The pump is getting power and the main relay clicks and the check engine light goes off just as normal but no fuel....
Replace the fuel pump, if you can hear it running but it is not pumping fuel either the pump is bad or the pickup has fallen off or pickup filter, [sock] is plugged.
Either way you will need to drop the tank and pull the fuel pump to inspect it so you may as well replace the pump even if it is not the pump itself, too much work to access it to not just install a new pump it is almost a 1/4 century old if it is the original pump. 94
