2000 civic d16y7 to d16y8
I've search some of the threads but I wasn't clear on a few points. I have a 2000 civic lx auto (d16y7...engine went out) and can get a 2000 civic ex auto (d16y8). The d16y8 is a complete swap: engine, harness, transmission, ecu, axles, etc. If I get the complete auto swap of the d16y8, will it be just a drop in plug n play swap? A lot of the threads had different things like, auto to manual, obd2a ..obd2b, etc...but didn't really see any AUTO transmission posts. Any info helps. Thanks.
yes, if swapping harnesses, ecu's, etc. you'll need to add a converter under the car if you plan on using the y8 header, or do some wiring to use your existing y7 cat on manifold design.

As far as auto you'll have to use the 00 ECU if you use the EX transmission. Harness you can't use you'll either need to wire up the extra wiring or get an OBD2a (96-98) EX auto harness.
