Default Can I put D17A7 pistons in a D17A2?

How many horsepower would I gain? Would I lose gas mileage from the greater force required to compress the air? Would knocking be a problem on 93 octane fuel? Is it worth the work? Do I have to pull the head or will the pistons come out the bottom? Could I still use a Crower Stage 1 cam? Sorry for the questions and thank you in advance.

you would need to clay the engine to see if the pistons and cam will work together. Usually higher compression is more efficient, but without tuning you will not likely see much power and might have knock issues. you would need to be able to make sure compression heaight and dome changes are workable and what level of compression will be produced.
