Default Header wrap question

Just curious, do you guys think that wrapping a manifold could keep enough heat from escaping that it would increase egt's a little, like around 50c or 100f?.

Wrapping does help keep under hood temps down. And an increase in EGT's is not necessarily a bad thing. Unless of course it gets out of range, which a simple wrap won't do.

I wouldn't go THAT far. EGTs are a serious thing. But has very little to do with actual engine bay temperatures and more to do with ignition timing and fuel for the exhaust stream.

Wrapping the exhaust manifolds with a good high heat ceramic coating does wonders for under the hood temperatures
