If it helps my header doesn't. Doesn't seem to have mounts for a heat shield either, just one front and back of the upper 4-2 section. '98 spec had a lower protector plate, prob as steel is more fragile

Thanks! Can't really tell but I can't see a shield in that area. Maybe Honda scrapped it for the Type R's to save a little weight. The investigation continues.
I agree but that list contains SiR parts, not just Type R. Correct me if I'm wrong but things like armrests and various different wheels and trim that I've never seen on a Type R.
